Michael Sullivan is a Chicago based artist. Sullivan is partner and Director of Photography at On The Real Film, and works in freelance photography, video production and post production. Photo and video production includes event, portrait, commercial, narrative, arts and performance documentary. Post production includes photo retouching, editing and video editing. Michael was born and raised in El Paso, TX, and attended the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas, Austin. Studies included printmaking, photography, and painting under professors Margie Simpson, Tom Druecker, Jason Urban, Lawrence McFarland, Michael Ray Charles, and Melissa Miller. Worked concurrently as a press and studio assistant to Simpson and Druecker at Slugfest Printmaking Studio in Austin. Graduated with a BFA in Studio Art in 2010 and relocated to Chicago to work as a studio and gallery assistant to printmaker and collage artist Tony Fitzpatrick. In 2011 partnered as Director of Photography with Director and Editor Erin Babbin to establish the production company On The Real Film.
